Kit Runs a 5K

Proud of this girl! She wanted to run the distance of a 5K with me this morning and actually made it even farther - a total of 3.3 miles in 55 minutes.

A beautiful Saturday afternoon! Winnie, Emerson, and Grandma enjoyed their time together in the camper while Grandpa, Seth, Kit and I boated around Alum Creek.

Emerson - 11 Weeks

Our happy guy is 11 weeks old. I am happy to report that he typically wakes just once a night to nurse now.

Mommy's Return to Work

I went back to work today, and Emerson started with his sitter, Michele. Daddy drops him off, and I pick him up after work. August 16th sure was a big day for everyone!

First Day of 3rd and 1st Grades

Today was the first day of school. Kit and Winnie brought their true colors to the 3rd and 1st grades.

Emerson's 2-Month Appointment

Healthy Emerson saw Dr. MacDowell today, weighing in at 15 pounds, 7 ounces (95th percentile) and measuring 24" in length (81st percentile).

Arrowhead Open House

On Monday night, we met Winnie's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Hedrick, and Kit's 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Schupp, at Arrowhead's Open House. The girls checked out their classrooms, organized school supplies, and said hello to a few friends.

Great Wolf Lodge

Our last hoorah for the summer was an overnight trip to Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky. We had a blast in the indoor water park and participating in activities offered there. For dinner Sunday night, we enjoyed Sandusky's beautiful water view at Dockside Cafe. On Monday, we enjoyed the park one last time and had a lunch at Olive Garden before heading back home.

Gymnastics Bar

Doc made the girls a gymnastic bar out of pipes! With the right step stool, they can practice their emerging skills at home.

Columbus Zoo

We had a great time at the Columbus Zoo with the Meyers. The rain held off, and we saw a variety of animals. Winnie discovered a goat with red hair named Winnie in the petting zoo!

Our wonderful buddy is 2 months old today.

Working Out

It's been fun working out with these 2 this summer. Today they did part of a FitnessBlender.com cardio workout with me.

August Birthday Celebration

On Saturday, we celebrated the birthdays of Matt, Zech, and Grandma Lovie by having a late lunch at Opa in downtown Delaware.

Milk Storage

We purchased a small freezer for the basement to store Emmers' milk, extra bread, and meals as I have the chance to make double. The girls helped me get organized. All of the milk pictured here is from pumping excess every morning.
