South Haven 2019

We had perfect weather (74-82 degrees and sunny) during our vacation in beautiful South Haven. We stayed in a charming cottage in the Mt. Pleasant Subdivision. It was great because we had a playground and private beach access. Highlights included eating ice cream at Sherman's, swimming in Ely Lake, digging holes at North Beach, playing scooper ball and having fires in the backyard, and walking along Lake Michigan. On our last full day, we had pie and wine flights at Crane's Pie Pantry while listening to live music.

University of Notre Dame

On our way to South Haven, we spent time exploring the University of Notre Dame. The Golden Dome did not disappoint...beautiful. Emerson was a champ inside the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, imitating his sisters' "sssh" and walking quietly about.

King's Island

Today we went to King's Island with Uncle Matthew. Despite the heat, we had lots of fun! We started out by going up in the Eiffel Tower, and Emerson looked down and yelled, "My toys!" He loved the car and train rides. The girls got brave (with a little coaxing from Matthew) and rode roller coasters for the first time! Kit is pictured in front of the Racer, the first roller coaster she rode, and Winnie rode Backlot Stunt Coaster. We were surprised to run into the Rostons while at the park.

Camp Kettering

The girls had a blast at "Camp Kettering" with Papa and GG. They got to swim with the boys twice and explore in the creek. GG worked with them on cross-stitching. While there, Winnie lost a tooth!
