Congrats to Winnie for placing third overall (2nd on bars) at the "Won't You Beam My Valentine" competition in Huber Heights. With family nearby, Winnie chose to keep it low-key and just have me on hand. Thanks to GG for sending her a rose.
Emerson worked hard to write out all of the names of his classmates onto valentines. He's currently into drawing pirates and treasure maps. His favorite word to write is "cake?" because it was on a recent birthday card on display.
Kit decided instead of a birthday party, she wanted to host girl time with Jess and Grace. They came on Saturday, and we got Cane's and Crumbl, hung out in the basement, and went for a dip in the hot tub. On Sunday, we watched Kit play 3-on-3 sand volleyball and shopped a little. Thank you to Jess and Grace for helping Kit have a blast.
Winnie has a wonderful friend group that spent the night in celebration of her 12th birthday. They enjoyed pizza, games, pink prizes, rings, and more. I was touched by how much they included Emerson in their fun. We had fun seeing how outgoing and funny Winnie is in their group.
Emerson sure does pick up on his sisters' habits. He likes to pretend he's wearing headphones while he's completing tasks.
He has been bringing home wonderful crafts from BBCP - the bottom one is a melting snowman. He got his wires crossed on Groundhog Day. When we finally took down the basement Christmas tree, he said, "But the animal at school! We have six more weeks of Christmas!"
