Emerson thought kindergarten screening was fun. He's excited to be a Shale Meadows Monarch!

Hyatts Film Festival
Congrats to Kit and Madelyn for winning "Best Cinematography" at the Hyatts Film Festival for their film, "How We Became Friends". What a fun night at the Lennox! Mr. Meta gives 110% to his students.

Wolfpack Soccer Team
We were all on hand to cheer on Wolfpack on Saturday. Emerson almost had a goal and had a couple of great saves when it was his turn to be the goalie.
Cedar Bog & Davey Woods
We continued enjoying the outdoors on Friday at Cedar Bog Nature Preserve, which is a fenn and not actually a bog. See the snake in the middle picture? Our final hike on the getaway was at Davey Woods State Nature Preserve. We enjoyed downtown Urbana and a couple of garden centers before heading home.
Glen Helen Nature Preserve
Thanks to Grandma Jo, Seth and I had a quick getaway to Yellow Springs and Urbana. We loved Glen Helen Nature Preserve. It just might be the most beautiful of all places in Ohio.
Choir Solos
The girls both had solos at their spring concert. Winnie sang a portion of "A Million Dreams," and Kit sang "Songbird". They both did an awesome job! I was glad to have the chance to thank Mrs. Gilleon for cultivating a love of music while the girls have been at Hyatts.
Pre-K Graduation
Emerson's pre-K wrapped up with a special program and ice cream sundaes. We will miss the loving and nurturing environment provided by Ms. Cara and Ms. Jenny. We're so grateful for the two years Emerson got to spend at Bright Beginnings.
Springtime Pleasures
Some pictures of a great spring: the return of the ice cream truck, a walk and live music at Sourcepoint, and John and Becky's foster puppies!
Mother's Day 2023
I had a joy-filled Mother's Day with thoughtfulness from the whole family. Emerson made me treasures at school. Kit bought the perfect card, and Winnie insisted on buying sandals I picked out at Marshalls. We went to church and enjoyed lunch at Panda House. Seth worked hard on the back landscape. Thank you to all for sharing lots of love!
