Bears Beat Gahanna

Another program sweep for Berlin: all teams defeated Gahanna Lincoln on Thursday. This was the case earlier in the week as they played away at Dublin Coffman. Great job setting, Kit! She had grandparents there to cheer her on.

Bruins Travel to Orange

BMS had an away game at Orange. Despite the stellar cheering, they didn't pull out the win this time.

Fall Ball

Emerson started practices for OYAA coach pitch baseball. We're still trying to determine: left-handed or right-handed for sports? He definitely bats lefty but throws with both hands.

Bears Beat Orange

Kit had a wonderful first freshman volleyball game, and she served as co-captain. She was the team's first to serve (crushed them!) and did a beautiful job setting. The Bears won 2-0 against Olentangy Orange.

First Day of School

They all had a super start to the school year. Emerson got off of the bus and said, "Best day ever!" He was enthusiastic despite a little confusion about where to sit on the bus. Winnie reported that all of her teachers are very nice. Kit rode with Kenley and Chase and came back home 13 hours later after playing in a volleyball scrimmage and watching varsity. OBHS is her new home away from home!

Winnie's First Game Cheering

Winnie's first game cheering was on Wednesday as Berlin Middle defeated Dublin Davis! She and her team looked great and helped keep everyone in good spirits despite the heat. 

Kindergarten Boot Camp

Kindergarten boot camp was a success! Emerson met his teacher Ms. French, became more familiar with the school, and discovered preschool classmate Rinosh is in his class. He is ready for Thursday!

A Visit with Maggie

We were glad to see Maggie, Molly, and Matt for a bit. The little cutie is taking steps, saying some words, and trying to keep up with her big cousins.

Opening of Berlin Middle

Winnie's first official duty as a cheerleader was at Berlin Middle School's ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday. This makes school #27 for the district! Her team provided building tours for about two hours. We all enjoyed seeing the new space and getting a bite to eat thanks to food trucks.

Kit Made the Freshman Team!

We could not be more proud of Kit's hard work this summer. She made the freshman team at Berlin, strategically offering to work on setting since the team needed a setter. On Friday, she received the "super teammate" award (one per grade level). On Saturday, we got to see her doing a fine job with setting at the team's first scrimmage against several teams. We also larned that Head Coach Mimna affectionately refers to her as Peanut.
