Two Wins, One Loss

 

It was a busy week for the ladies. They beat Mt. Vernon on Monday, beat Dublin Coffman on Tuesday, and lost to Pickerington North on Thursday (they seemed tired!).

Bruins Beat McCord

 

Seth and Emerson cheered on Berlin 8th graders while I was at Kit's game. Winnie is a flyer again, and Emerson captured a stunt in his notebook.

Working on His Car

 

This guy, and friends, have been steadily working on Emerson's car. They're frequently asking to go to Menard's and Harbor Freight for supplies.

First JVA Volleyball Game

 

Kit was nervous but did just fine in her first Berlin JVA game against Dublin Scioto. The Bears won in two sets. Thanks to Grandma Jo for cheering her on. Congrats to Kit for being selected co-captain by her peers.

The kids are off to a great school year at Berlin High, Berlin Middle, and Shale Meadows!

8th Grade Football Scrimmage

 

These photos from Winnie's first scrimmage show she's surrounded by the light of God! Grandma Jo was on hand with us to watch her precise moves, tumbling, and flying in the match against Liberty.

Dad and Emerson found plenty to do while I was away - play dates, two trips to the skate park, books from the library, and more.

Long Weekend in St. Louis

 

I was able to visit Ilene at the rehab facility where she has been nursing a broken humerus bone. With her upcoming move to assisted living, we went through many of her old photographs and scrapbooks. Like a needle in a haystack, I found the photos of when we meet in 1989. I also visited Steve at his facility. During some of my downtime, I walked the beautiful grounds of Lindenwood University.

Kit, Emerson, and I got to spend time with other volleyball families at the "program picnic" at Alum Creek Dam.

Winnie had the chance to reunite with her friend group at Paige's birthday sleepover. They had a biking scavenger hunt.

More Fun at Kids R Kids

 

Emerson continues to have fun at Kids R Kids! He was sad to say goodbye to Miss Mackenzie, but we are wishing her well as she heads back to college.
