Trick-or-Treat

Kit and I enjoyed passing out treats (plus friends swung by) while dad and Emerson walked with Jen and Bryson. Emerson got in some Joey time, too. Winnie the Pooh had fun with her furry pals. Following tradition, Emerson and Winnie dumped their pillowcases right away to begin sorting.

Volleyball Banquet 2024

 

At the banquet, Kit was honored with two out of four JV volleyball awards: Most Improved Player and Best Teammate. Keep up your dedication and kindness, Kit—you’re making a difference!

Fall Gathering

 

We were happy to host Seth's family on Saturday. The kids had a lot of fun together on the trampoline, in the basement, and out front. Emerson got to share about the car he's been building. Everyone was glad the Buckeyes pulled out a win!

Winnie in Washington

 

Winnie had such a good time in Washington D.C. with her group (Khloe, Addy, and Adrianna). She especially liked her tour guide Boomer. The 8th graders got in so many sites over four days and three nights.

Shale Meadows Treat Trail

 

The Shale Meadows staff went the extra mile for this year's treat trail. My favorite set-up was probably "Inside Out 2" by the admin team. We got a kick out of all the Minions who greeted us, too. Lots of friends called hello to Emerson, the racecar driver.

Swaisgood's Halloween Party

 

We made it to the Swaisgood's Halloween party this year. No one was more surprised than me that Seth was a pickle. Winnie, Gage, and Bryson nearly coordinated (Winnie the Pooh, Elmo, and Cookie Monster). None of the kids knew who Jess was (Hulk Hogan), proof we're getting older!

We love hearing the Berlin High School choirs perform! Mr. S. selects such positive, inspirational songs.

We snuck three boo baskets to families in the neighborhood, and it sure was fun. We all laughed when Emerson yelled, "Drive!"

Started Strong, Ended Strong

 

Like the beginning of the JV season, Kit started off the final game against Bishop Watterson as Berlin's first server. Great job, Kit!

Bringing Ilene Closer

 

Seth and I helped Ilene relocate to Ohio, where she is now in assisted living close to us. The kids have enjoyed visiting her, and she's even been able to come over to our home as well. It brings us so much comfort to know she has friends and family around after three long years of being alone. We’re grateful for this new chapter.

The Bears gave it another shot against Olentangy but came up short.

Middle School Cheer Wraps Up

 

The Bruins won against Dublin Davis in their final game at Dublin Scioto High School. Since Winnie chose not to go out for basketball cheer, this wraps up her middle school cheer experience. She was one brave flyer!
