In Search of a Marching Band
Friday evening we could hear a marching band practicing, so we headed out in search of it. By the time we got over to Delaware Hayes, the band was wrapping up. The girls wanted to watch the drummers, but we only got to see the tubas practicing. They both kept saying, "What a horrible sound!"

Winnie is 2 1/2 Years Old!
Winnie is now 2 1/2 years old, and she's the perfect blend of sweet and silly. The other night we were praying for others, and she ended with an "Amen, Dookie." (Her synonym for "poopy")

Picnic at the Park
Today we enjoyed the beautiful day by having a picnic at Smith Park. Winnie pointed to some goal posts a couple of times and told me, "They're upside down, Mommy." I guess she's going to understand football about as well as I do.

Saturday Morning Treat
On Saturday the girls picked out doughnuts, and I enjoyed my favorite coffee. Kitster asked Winnie, "Will you love me for ever and ever?" Winnie thought about it and replied, "Mmm, after naps."

Swimming at Mingo
Monday evening we went to the Mingo Park pool and enjoyed every minute. Fearlessly, Kit stood in the diving board line. I overheard her tell two teenage girls that she could do a front flip. Meanwhile I consulted with the lifeguard. He explained to Kit that she would have to pass a swimming test (without her Puddle Jumper) before she could go off the diving board. Undismayed, Kit and Winnie found a suitable edge for jumping.

Mr. and Mrs. Collett
Congratulations to Justin and Amanda! What a beautiful wedding and reception! The event was especially magical for Kit who was awestruck by Amanda and delighted to dance the entire evening.

Rehearsal and Hayride
On Friday night, Justin and Amanda prepared for their big day. The rehearsal came with an added bonus: a hayride! The church was having its ice cream social, and we got to take a ride before dinner. How cool that Scarlett and Nicholas were on the hayride at the same time!
