Emerson Meets More Family
Emerson met Aunt Berchie, Amanda, and Baylor today. It's amazing how grown Baylor (almost 1 year old) looks in comparison. It's a reminder to soak in this wondrous time.
Emerson Comes Home
Emerson came home healthy & happy. The girls arrived home around the same time and just couldn't get enough of him. Special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for their help. The girls introduced their brother to the neighbors. Daddy gave Emmers a tour of the house.

Sisters Meet Brother
We were thrilled for the girls to meet Emerson. They sent us a text after he was born saying that they promised to take good care of him. <3 Kit told us that she was so excited she couldn't even sleep. Grandma Lovie and Grandpa John brought them to the hospital Thursday evening, and it was love at first sight. They commented on his hair, chubby cheeks, and tiny feet and reacted to his every expression. Both were eager to have Emerson put on his "Ladies I Have Arrived" bib. Unfortunately, he had to leave for his circumcision during the visit, and it was hard for them to wait for his return. Once back, they were able to dote for a bit longer before heading out.

A Visit from Grandparents
Emerson's first visitors were his grandparents. It was fun to celebrate three generations of Jumps and have all of these special people get acquainted.
Emerson Niles Jump
Introducing the newest member of our family, Emerson Niles Jump. With help from Dr. Louvakis and the team at Dublin Methodist, he was born at 12:17 pm after being induced at around 8:30 am and about 30 minutes of pushing at the end. Emerson weighed in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long. Daddy cut the cord. We love his full cheeks, head of hair, and mild cry.

Summer Fun
The girls have enjoyed their first couple of weeks out of school. They are in gymnastics and swim lessons, but playing with friends seems to be their favorite activity. Over the last few days, they made movies of themselves dumping water, toasted to good times in their clubhouse, attended the Captain Underpants party at the library, and played at Sarah's house.

False Alarm
On Sunday evening, after having regular contractions for a few hours, we headed to Dublin. The contractions went from every 10 minutes to every 5 minutes, but nothing else was happening. So we went home! The nurse suspected physical activity & a change in the barometric pressure was to blame. Guess I could have waited to help the girls shovel out the sand from the old sandbox under the swing set!
