Sand Volleyball

Kit got to play four-on-four sand volleyball at Oasis, which is next door to her club. Her friend Alex was on her team. Later, he hosted their friends for dinners before heading to Wildlights at the zoo.

BBCP Christmas Program

Our little innkeeper did a great job at his preschool Christmas program. What a joyful time!

All Aboard!

We were so entertained by Mr. George at the Delaware Library's Polar Express storytime. The theatrical librarian acted/dressed as several characters, played the harmonica and bagpipes well, and got laughs out of attendees of all ages. He punched Emerson's ticket with an "L" for love. 

Speaking of love, Emerson and Tego have a special bond.

Winterfest & Basketball

The boys and I had fun at the Westerville Winterfest. Reluctant at first, Emerson got into the spirit and had a blast playing in inflatables. Then, we went down the street to basketball where Emerson made his first shot. The i9 ref lifted him up at the end of the game to dunk the ball. He smiled at first but then became bashful. Later, I asked him if he got a little embarrassed. Emerson answered, "No, all the way!"

Fun with Friends

Today, Emerson and Winnie made gingerbread houses. Winnie had friends Khloe and Lydia over to complete a school project. Later, Kit hosted Kenley, Reagan, and Izzy. We appreciate what good kids they all are!

Choir Concerts

We enjoyed having Grandma Jo with us for dinner and the girls' choir concerts. Doc and Emerson were on hand for Winnie's debut performance. Both choirs sounded amazing! A very special thanks to Grandma Jo for hanging in there so long at the school and for her Christmas kindnesses to us.

Mr. Benesh and Ms. Voge were there to support students. It meant a lot when Mr. Benesh stopped me to say how special the girls are and that "Whatever I'm doing, it's working!"

Letter for Santa

We got in some Christmas fun! Emerson made Santa a picture of a limousine sleigh, and we delivered it to the jolly elf at Oakland Nursery. The kids enjoyed popcorn and waited for balloon animals there, too. Then, they helped me stuff holiday greetings to family and friends. We had our bonus daughter Sarah with us while Kit was with her friends.

Ladies Christmas

While the boys watched the big game in Kettering, the girls and I headed north for a day of Ladies Christmas. We celebrated Noah's 6th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese, exchanged gifts, and caught up with everyone. The ladies did a stenciling craft and had dinner at Beckett's.

Black Friday

We had a relaxed Black Friday with a girls trip to Old Navy and Target (still crazy busy in the afternoon!), some online shopping, and games/shows together. 

Thanksgiving

Matt and Molly hosted Thanksgiving. We had fun celebrating Maggie's first Thanksgiving with them, Casey, and Jovi. 

Touches of Thanksgiving

Winnie's chalkboard picture cracked us up. Emerson brought home a sweet placemat with drawings of things for which he is thankful.

Cold & Cozy

We had our first real snow, and the kids had a blast throwing snowballs and playing on the trampoline (it's put up now!). Dr. Minga gave Winnie a turkey, and in our trees are up just before Thanksgiving so we can enjoy them for a full, long season. The girls are wearing their new jammies from Grandma Jo.
