Winnie Turns 12

Happy 12th birthday to Winnie! She woke up to a surprise of sugar cookies. Lots of her friends sent her well wishes on Snapchat throughout the day. In the evening, we played golf as a family. The official celebration will take place next Friday when we host a slumber party for her friend group.

Cap City Competition

Seth and Emerson were on hand to support Winnie as she competed in Cap City in Canal Winchester. Winnie earned first on bars, first on floor, first on beam, second on vault, and first overall in her division. Best competition to date - congratulations!

Frozen Lake Festival

14 Green was amazing to watch at the Frozen Lake Festival. Kit got to be the sole libero on Saturday. The ream ended up tying for third in the gold bracket (just lost one game)! 

Coach Sean said, "So proud of all the girls this weekend. This was our first time truly going to battle like our lives depended on it, and we got to learn a lot about each other. I'm very excited to see what the rest of this season has in store for us. We have seen the true barometer of competitive 14's in our region, which is a fantastic reality check and opportunity for growth. Keep those chins up."

Kit's 14th Birthday

Happiest of birthdays to Kitster! We swung by to get Kenley and grab Starbucks before they were off to school. Originally, we were going to leave Friday evening for volleyball in Sandusky but found out the team had a later start on Saturday. So we got some Chipotle and celebrated as a family :) Thank you to everyone for their encouragement and generosity to Kit. She's a wonderful person!

Battle of Champions

Winnie competed in Toledo at a large gymnastics competition - the Battle of Champions. She had a good time and was supportive of her teammates. In her age/division, she placed 2nd on bars, 3rd on floor, and 4th overall. We had Sarah and Becky with us since Sarah also competed. It was fun seeing her progress on the bars. Way to go, girls!

A Surprise for Kit

Kenley (and her mom) organized a very sweet birthday surprise for Kit: a dinner out with friends! Kit thought she was going shopping, but the Shermans arrived with an SUV full of girls! Alexis, Kenley, Kit, Reagan, and Izzy donned tiaras and ate at Olive Garden. 

Escape Room

Here's a sneak peek at Kit's volleyball team. After practice on Sunday, they successfully completed an escape room at Easton. Happy bonding!

Basketball Wraps Up

Although reluctant to go, Emerson participated in the final basketball session of the season. He had one really good pass, and we enjoyed watching him! 

Winnie's First Dance

Winnie attended the all middle school dance hosted at Olentangy High School on Saturday night. Her friends group had pizza at Khloe's, and I helped drive to the event. She said it was packed but fun!

Heavy Bag

Seth got a heavy bag for Christmas, and he showed the kids some moves they can practice.

Mina Comes to Visit

We were fortunate to have the Dixons drop in for a visit while they were in town visiting family. Emerson and Mina picked up where they left off! A few other neighbors stopped in, too, and we enjoyed the impromptu time with others! Can you spy a sleeping toddler?! (Lilly!)

Welcome 2023!

We watched OSU and welcomed in 2023 with the Lubben's, Tristan, and Jennifer. Kit was with her friends at Alexis' house. The Buckeyes almost pulled out a win. We had Emerson to cheer us up with his breakdancing.

Christmas with the Jumps

We celebrated Christmas with the Jumps on the 31st. The little boys had so much fun wrestling! Tego and Nash had a blast together, too!

GG & Emerson

On the 30th, we went to Kettering to stay with GG and Papa. Emerson has a sleepover in their room!

Noon Year's Eve

Emerson and I went to the library's New Year's Eve celebration. It was packed so once the balloons dropped, Emerson was ready to go.
