I found this little gem at Arrowhead's Curriculum Night.

Rainbow Ringers
The girls participated in Rainbow Ringers for the first time. They don't look enthusiastic, but they enjoyed themselves.

First Day of School
First day of school! First time riding the bus! Both girls were ready and feeling confident about their new journey at Arrowhead. They said the bus dropped them off at a different door than the front door we had used, but they found their way and had a great start.

Preparing for Back to School
We're ready for school to begin! On Sunday, Pastor Joel blessed the children and prayed for a great school year. On Monday, Winnie had her kindergarten orientation and met Miss Staskiewicz, also known as Miss S. Can you believe there's another Winnie in her class? The girl's name is actually Gweneth, but she also goes by Winnie. In the evening, Kit met her teacher, Mrs. Ailiff, at the open house.

Make It Monday: Fan Flare
Kit had the great idea of decorating their ceiling fan blades. Why not?! Kit decorated hers with ice cream cones and other designs. Winnie drew different Shopkins on hers. Later, the girls also came up with their own dessert creation.

Grace & Gage
We're thankful for the grandparents who helped with the kiddos so that we could enjoy some grownup time. The kids had time together at our house once we were back.

Pittsburgh Trip
We had a fun little getaway to Pittsburgh with Jess and Andy on Saturday through Sunday. As we walked to the PNC stadium, we ran into Kim and Shane! The game was fun to watch despite the Reds losing to the Pirates. On Sunday, we walked around the campus of the University of Pittsburgh before heading back. Isn't it lovely? We took the elevator up & the stairs down (so many flights!) at the iconic Cathedral of Learning.

Baby Baylor
On Sunday we visited with the Collets, Aunt Berchie, and Uncle Jim. We were so excited to meet Baylor and see Brodie, too. What a beautiful day at the lake!

Last Day Vacay
As if saying goodbye to the ocean isn't already a little sad, there was an abundance of dolphins near our beach spot this morning. We saw dolphins nearly every day, but today we saw so many! It was hard to head back to the hotel to clean up and pack.
We stopped for the night in Staunton, VA, the birthplace of President Woodrow Wilson. It was fun checking out the unique shops, walking through antique stores, and having a bite out.

Beach Rainbow
It was another scorcher at Virginia Beach - at one point, it felt like 114 degrees. I've never experienced anything quite like it. We enjoyed the beach early in the morning and stayed inside during the hottest part of the day. For lunch, we went to a Mexican restaurant. Later, the girls made friends at the indoor pool.
A small storm came through in the evening, cooling the temperature and leaving a rainbow. When we walked the beach before bedtime, it was cool and pleasant.

Atlantic Fun Park
In celebration of the girls' half-birthdays, we went to the Atlantic Fun Park. It was their first time in bumper cars and on a ferris wheel.
