Today we colored coffee filters with markers and used medicine droppers and water to make the colors run.

A 90th Birthday Celebration

Sunday we headed to Green Camp to celebrate Bob Gorenflo's 90th birthday!

The Proposal!

Seth proposed Wednesday evening at the Whetstone Park of Roses. (I said "yes," of course!) Then we headed to Easton to celebrate at Bon Vie, where a special table with delivered roses was ready. He's a keeper, right?! What a magical night, and we even had a full moon -the harvest moon. I'm feeling especially blessed by my life's journey, God's faithfulness, Seth, and all of our support from family and friends.

Make It Monday: Painted Paper Mache

While at Kiwi's Clubhouse on Saturday, the girls made paper mache spheres. Today we took the spheres outside, clothes-pinned them to tree branches and painted them bright pink.

A Trip to Kiwi's Clubhouse

I found a backup childcare option that offers hourly drop-in services. Kiwi's Clubhouse is located right off of Polaris Parkway. The girls spent a few hours there Saturday evening and had a good time playing and crafting.

ECC Ice Cream Social

This evening we went to the Early Childhood Center's annual ice cream social. Good thing that Winnie is outgrowing her dairy allergy! Kit spent much of her time hanging around the beloved Mrs. Rotondo.

Cookout at the Gorenflos

First Dance Classes of 2013-2014

Today the girls began their Saturday dance classes at the Arts Castle. This was Winnie's first-ever class, and she did great in "Tot Dance." Kit started her third year of dancing, and this year she is taking ballet.

Kit's First Day of Pre-K Preschool

Kit, Winnie & I went to Kit's orientation session of Pre-K preschool at Ohio Wesleyan University Early Childhood Center. Kit was so excited! Mrs. Rotondo is Kit's teacher again, and she has one friend (Kaden) in her class from last year. Kit happily shared the special time with Winnie, eager to hold her hand and show her around.

Kit's 4-Year-Old Exam

Kit had her 4-year-old examination today in preparation for preschool. She's 40" tall and 37 pounds (25th percentile for height and 30th percentile for weight). She informed Dr. Toth that her favorite sport is soccer.

Birthday Celebration

On Sunday we went to Kettering to celebrate Mrs. Jump's birthday. We played, husked corn, discovered Doc's baby picture (very cute), enjoyed a meal and cake, and by special request from Kit, we danced!
