Dance Recital

The dance season wrapped up with the girls going back into the Arts Castle (lots or precautions taken) to videotape. This was a nice closure for their efforts in virtual classes. We're looking forward to seeing their unique recital.

Private Tap

Today Kit started private tap dance lessons (via Zoom) with Amber, my childhood friend, who is a renowned tapper. She is loving it!

Arts Castle Gala

Kit danced beautifully during the Arts Castle's Gala and award presentation. She had her fan club on hand to wish her well. It was extra-special that Grandpa John P. could be there.

Doc-Kit-Winnie Dance

Doc, Kit, and Winnie enjoyed Berlin High School's Daddy-Daughter Dance. John and Sarah were there, too. The girls' favorite was the dads dance-off. We hosted the Lubbens for dinner after the event.

Dance at Nursing Home

Intermediate Company shared their talent for the residents of First & Main in Lewis Center. The best part of the night was when Kit's Santa hat fell off, and everyone was tickled by it.

Kit's Dance Recital

We had a full weekend with Kit's dance recital :) At the dress rehearsal, I was surprised to see Kit diving into the arms of her classmates during one of the routines.  On Saturday, I volunteered to help sign kids in and out, and it was a good thing Winnie came along because she passed out programs. Kit had quite the fan club in attendance & we all enjoyed watching her do her thing!

An Evening of Dance

The Arts Castle Youth Dance Companies presented "An Evening of Dance" on Friday night. Kit danced to "Burn Up the Dance Floor," "This is Me," and "Lost Boy" with her company.

Holiday Dance Recital

The grandparents came for dinner & got to hear Winnie play piano & Kit violin. Then we headed to Willis for Kit's holiday dance recital. Emerson loved it & cheered throughout the show. This was Kit's favorite recital to date because her ballet class performed with the older girls.

Be a Star Show Choir Camp

The girls had a blast at the Olentangy High School show choir workshop with the Keynotes and She-notes! Kit got to be paired with Emily again, and Winnie was paired with Sam. Grandpa came with Mom and Doc to the performance.

Kit's Recitals

Kit shined brightly during the 2 and 5 pm performances of "Movies in Motion," presented by the Arts Castle Dance Academy. She danced to "Hope is a Glimmer of Light," "Chillin' Like a Villain," and "Razzle Dazzle" with friends Ava, Annabelle, Alexis, and Rylan. We're grateful for the staff and volunteers as well as family who came out to support her.
