Jump Christmas

Our gathering with Seth's family looked different this year, but we had fun on Zoom. Each kid opened one gift, and we got to hear about how the Christmas mornings went.

Ladies Christmas

The annual Ladies Christmas celebration was different this year - we used Zoom to gather safely. It was fun being able to include Amy and Erin since we caught up virtually. We were all thankful mom was doing better and able to take part.

Fourth of July

We enjoyed the fourth at home with a cookout and our own firey fun. We even got to watch fireworks from Winnie's room.

Memorial Day

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend & were able to enjoy the yard. Seth tackled some outdoor projects: patio extension and swing set repairs/safeguards.

Porch Lights Before & After

Bye, bye ugly lights (and lavender that quit growing).

Emerson - May 2020

Emerson has been a trooper during our time of working from home. At his request, he started taking naps on his bedroom floor. He likes playing with Play-Doh, watching forget-me-nots grow, building with blocks, playing outside after lunch, going for bike rides on the back of daddy's bike, and spending time in the basement.

5th Grade Graduate

We're proud of you, Kit! Congratulations on your 5th grade graduation and award for always being a good friend to everyone. Your kindness is a gift.

The traditional "Clap Out" wasn't what you expected, but we're glad your special day could still take place.

Additional keepsakes: Ms. Wagner shared a Wagner Way video (Kit defines "grit"). Arrowhead shared a 5th grade graduation video.

Private Tap

Today Kit started private tap dance lessons (via Zoom) with Amber, my childhood friend, who is a renowned tapper. She is loving it!

Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day with the family! In the morning, I came down to love notes, flowers, a book (on the way), and a gift card. Winnie made me a fruit smoothie after my run. I received a special mug in the mail from Director Miller. During Emerson's nap, we resumed our weeks-long Monopoly game. I got to enjoy some sun on the patio, and while we were outside, Winnie lost another tooth (the 8th, we think). To top if off, Seth did all of the cooking and cleaning. I'm so glad I get to be these kids' mom.

Make It Monday: A House for Emerson

The girls decided they were done with their Barbie house and ready to transform it for Emerson. They worked for several weeks, priming, painting, and touching up their work. On Mother's Day, they styled it and presented it to him after his nap.

Christmas Tree

Emerson has been pretending to make Christmas trees. He asked for the artificial tree to come up, and we figured, "Why not!"

Teacher Appreciation

We appreciate our teachers, maybe more than ever! The girls look forward to virtual meetings with Ms. Wagner and Mrs. Pomeroy. We submitted several photos and thank you notes during the special week for teachers.
