The girls celebrated Tyler's 6th birthday with him at Supergames in Worthington. We had fun seeing some of our former playgroup pals.

Visit with Santa

After the girls prepared their letters, we headed to Oakland Nursery to deliver the items and talk with Santa. Kit was bold in her interactions, and Winnie was reserved. We had fun until we spotted the Grinch, and then it was time to go!

Trimming the Tree

We're all decorated for Christmas!

The girls could hardly wait to put up the tree. They were both delighted to open a new Barbie ornament. Thanks to Aunt Berchie, Seth and I had a new one to add, too.

Make It Monday: Turkey Boxes & Gratitude Lists

Here are the girls' gratitude lists this Thanksgiving ;-)

Delaware's Christmas Parade

On Sunday, our troop participated in Delaware's Superhero Christmas Parade. Kit and Winnie had a blast throwing candy to the crowd. Fortunately, the troops were toward the beginning of the parade. When we finished our walk, we were able to watch the rest of participants, including Santa and "Claus," as Winnie calls her (Mrs. Claus).

Make It Monday: Barbie Beds

The girls had fun picking out fabric at Hobby Lobby on Monday. Then Aunt Berchie treated us to lunch at Hunan (thank you for the delicious tofu and gifts!). When we got home, we made Barbie beds, pillows, and blankets from cereal boxes, cotton balls, and the fabric.

After church on Sunday, we went to Grandma Lovie and Big Grandpa's for lunch, homemade apple pie, and a game of Uno (that went on and on!). Thanks to Mom and John for the special food, drinks, and gifts.

Celebrating Mommy

On Saturday the girls asked to do chores to earn money to buy me a store-bought card for my birthday. They got busy, earned a dollar, and picked out this card for me. Kit wrote, "I love mom. Mom, I really hope you like this card. I love to give presents. Doc Kit Winn"

Make It Monday: Kids' Choice

Kit and Winnie had their own ideas for crafts today. Kit made a bead bracelet and pumpkin. Winnie stenciled a picture. Notice Kit's Daisy vest? I love how she comes out of her room on Monday morning, all ready for the evening troop meeting!

Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Michelle Gorenflo

Seth and I had such a fun time with family in Minneapolis over the weekend. Congratulations to Joe and Michelle! It's inspiring how they can be different in so many ways and make their relationship work beautifully.
