Bridging Ceremony
The girls "bridged" to their new levels in Girl Scouts. Winnie is an official Daisy, and Kit is now a Brownie. What a beautiful morning to spend at Gallant Woods Preserve! The girls loved the nature scavenger hunt.

Daisy Tea
Kit and I had a lovely time at her Daisy Tea. The middle picture is of Kit and her pal Addelyn. While we were enjoying our date, Winnie and Doc had one of their own. They went to the Dollar Tree and McDonalds and spent time building.

Cookie Booth
Today we sold cookies in front of the Delaware Walmart. In two hours, we sold about 60 boxes. We did better when we were allowed to sell inside, but we were happy to do as well as we did.

Kit loves to sell Girl Scout Cookies. She was eager to share the news on Facebook and watch for orders.

Crafting & Caroling
Both Kit and Winnie were able to participate in this year's Crafting and Caroling event for all Delaware City Girl Scouts. The Willis Intermediate School cafeteria was bursting at the seams with attendees. You've never quite heard "Let It Go" from Frozen until you have heard it in unison from about 200 girls!

Delaware's Holiday Parade
On Sunday, several Girl Scout Troops walked together in Delaware's Holiday Parade. The weather was bitter cold, but it was fun sharing candy and seeing Santa.

Sing-a-Long and S'mores
On Thursday, all of the Girl Scouts in Delaware City gathered at Greenwood Lake to sing and have s'mores. I was proud of our troop's confidence when they sang, especially given that they were the first group up to sing (they shared "Alice the Camel").

Miss Independent - Camp Wilson
For the first time ever, Kit stayed the night without parents or grandparents. She had a blast with the troop at Camp Wilson in Bellefontaine. She came home and told us all about how she rode Magic the pony, canoed, played goofy golf, and watched a beautiful sunset.

On Sunday night, the troop spent the night at Camp Crooked Lane, which has a new sprayground. The overnighter included water fun, decorating t-shirts, playing board games, a late evening scavenger hunt/hike, and a movie.

Daisies Build Bears
As a reward for selling cookies, the Daisies got to create Girl Scout Bears at Build-a-Bear Workshop. Meet Ginger, Lilly, and Cookie Bears. This was Kit's first time actually going through the process of stuffing the animal, giving it a heart, bathing it, dressing it, naming it, and receiving a birth certificate. Meanwhile Winnie found an outfit for her little dog, Gumball.

Mother-Daughter Daisy Tea
I loved hanging out with Kit at the Daisy Tea Party. The girls learned about manners, played games, and made a couple of crafts. Kit's art to me reads, "Being a mom might mean that my hands are full, but so is my heart." Kit is pictured with pal Addelyn.

Snow & Cookie Booth
The snow almost kept us from doing our cookie booth at the Delaware Walmart today. We sold 115 boxes in 2 hours.

World Thinking Day
The Delaware troops got together for World Thinking Day. Kit learned about several countries, including Germany (shout-out to Zech). Her favorite country was Kenya because of the necklace she made at its table. Each girl wrote about a way to make the world a better place. Kit's pink note says, "to help people at all times."
