End-of-Summer Party

On Saturday, we went to Bowling Green for the Swaisgood's end-of-summer party. Brodie seemed to like all of the attention from the girls. Jess is pictured making a batch of water balloons for the kids. We spent the night and went to church with the gang before heading back home.

Tubing

The girls hung on for dear life during their first experience tubing on Grandpa's boat. They didn't care for it nearly as much as swimming at the beach and snacking at the marina!

Kit's 1st Day of 1st Grade

Kit was so excited for her first day of first grade! She took along a poster Mr. K gave her at Back to School Night. It was called "All About Me" and included photographs of her family and favorite things.

Back to School Night

We met Mr. Kilhelfner, AKA Mr. K, at Back to School Night. Kit has several friends in her class and is happy that her friend Adelyn is sitting at the same table.

Make It Monday: Cosi Crafts

We spent Monday at Cosi, watching a show in the planetarium, eating lunch in the courtyard, making cellphones, and more.

Singing at Nursing Homes

On Saturday, I took the girls to Marion Manor and Presidential Center to sing their Vacation Bible School songs. They were quite reserved at the first stop, but with the incentive of ice cream, they did a better job at our second destination.

Marching Band Practice

It's that time of year when we hear drumming at our house! On Thursday night, we ran over to Delaware Hayes to watch a bit of this year's band camp.

Grandma Jo had all 4 of her granddaughters over for the night and sent me this cute picture of them.

Fire with Mr. Jeff

On Sunday night, we headed out to Jeff's special place in the woods. Winnie loved throwing logs onto the fire. The bandannas helped protect the girls' necks from mosquitoes and kept the girls entertained (they love their accessories).

Miss Independent - Camp Wilson

For the first time ever, Kit stayed the night without parents or grandparents. She had a blast with the troop at Camp Wilson in Bellefontaine. She came home and told us all about how she rode Magic the pony, canoed, played goofy golf, and watched a beautiful sunset.

Bones!

Winnie, the budding anatomist! Doc pulled out his bone collection, enthusiastically explaining things to a very interested Winnie. She seems to get it for a four-year-old. She asked him: "So, the ribs are symmetrical?" What?!
