Birthday Breakfast

We celebrated Winnie's birthday a day early by going out to breakfast at McDonald's. Last week, we also went out for Kit's birthday at Tim Hortons (didn't have a phone on me to snap a picture). The girls love our tradition of special birthday breakfasts.

Make It Monday: Glitter Art & Potholders

On Monday, we used a couple of gifts the girls received for our craft time. The girls worked on potholders from a set from Mrs. Jump and glitter art from a set from the Rostons.

Sleepover

Following the girls' party, Jess, Grace, Gage. and Ashley spent the night. The kids had an abundance of toys to play with, and we had plenty of leftovers on hand, too.

Kit & Winnie's Popstar Party

The girls had a blast at their Popstar Birthday Party to celebrate Kit turning 7 and Winnie turning 5. We had it at the church again, which was great for accommodating a lot of kids. Unfortunately, Kit was under the weather, but she still had fun. We had a guitar pinata, microphone craft, tattoo station, dressing room/time machine, boombox with microphone and dancing, lunch, cake & ice cream. Thanks to all who came and helped!

Kit's Cityscape

Kit learned about Jean-Michael Basquiat in Ms. Farrell's art class. Here is her take on Basquiat's sketchy cityscapes.

In the Flower Garden

Winnie made this picture of us in the flower garden. I love it!

Girl Scout Cookie Time!

Kit loves to sell Girl Scout Cookies. She was eager to share the news on Facebook and watch for orders.

Gage's Shark Party

We had a fun time in Bowling Green celebrating Gage's 4th birthday party with family and friends. After opening his slippers from us, Gage said, "I've always wanted slippers!" Perfect!

Sleepover

When there isn't school the next morning, the girls are allowed to have a sleepover in Winnie's bed. Here they are - the little porcelain dolls. They aren't allowed to write on furniture, but I have to admit I get a kick out of Winnie's graffiti on her bed rail, especially "Kim Jump."

Celebrating Nova

Since the girls won't be able to make it to Nova's party due to a scheduling conflict, we had her down for dinner and a movie and also to give her a present. Here the girls are watching the new Minions movie.

Rag Rollers

The girls were excited to have their hair rolled. The next morning, Kit couldn't believe all of the curls. Winnie looked at her hair and quoted Frieda from Peanuts: "No one has naturally curly hair like me!" Later, Winnie said she thought she looked like George Washington, her favorite president.

Family Games

We love playing games together as a family! Thanks to the Meyers, we have Headbandz, Jenga, and Kerplunk now. Thanks to the McMillens, we have ladder golf, which the girls are particularly good at playing.

Winnie reached a significant milestone today: she figured out how to blow a bubble with gum!
