Goodbye to Our Favorite Oak

We will miss the white swamp oak at Grandview Ave. What a great tree! We enjoyed playing in the backyard for the last time with Nova and Mr. Jeff.

Keith and Jane (Seth's cousins) were passing through the area and stopped in Delaware to meet the girls and me.

2016 Swim Lessons

The girls did great in summer swim lessons at the YMCA from June 13 - June 23. Kit was a guppy and got to practice diving and even jumped off of a canoe. As an eel, Winnie got better at floating on her back. 

Grandma Jo & Grandpa John

The girls got to spend the weekend with Grandma Jo and Grandpa John while Doc and I worked on the new house. They spent time with their cousins, went to garage sales/stores, visited Grandma's work, helped with the garden, and baked cookies.

Today we took possession of Mechlamoor Drive :) Let the projects begin!

Make It Monday: Suncatchers

Mingo Pool

After a hot morning at the park, we decided to head over to Mingo pool to enjoy the 90 degree day. Our first trip of the year did not disappoint! The girls loved watching Doc go down the blue slide, jumping into the pool, and practicing their swimming. They got to see Nova there, too.

Saturday in the Park

We had a great time at the Peace Community 5K/Saturday in the Park in Waldo on Saturday. I ran the race in 25:31 and placed first for women and third overall. It was motivating to have Seth and the girls cheering me on! The girls had a blast in the bounce house & during the water balloon toss.

Winnie's Food Concotions

Winnie has been interested in creating her own recipes. Today she made a strawberry smoothie and an applesauce-banana mush.

Delaware's New Splash Park

After church, we headed over to Delaware's newly opened splash park. The girls enjoyed a chilly ten minutes of fun before it began storming.

Cousin Amee

The girls and I were glad to visit with Cousin Amee. We took her to House of Hunan for lunch. Now Kit and Winnie want to go to Florida to visit the Big B, Amee's cat!
