Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas Eve! We enjoyed a quiet day at home...listening to Christmas music, relaxing, making puppy chow, and everyone lending a hand with housework. Kit went the extra mile by wrapping presents, too. The girls rang bells during the church service, and I performed "Little Drummer Boy" with the dulcimers. We were home late, but we poured Santa a glass of milk and headed to bed quickly. Winnie cracked me up this week by asking, "What if Santa is actually diabetic and has to leave all of the cookies?"

Saturday was an icy mess outside, so we stayed indoors and kept busy with all kinds of Christmas fun!

2nd Grade Musical
We had the best time watching Kit perform in "The Big Chill." We knew that she had a small group speaking part, but we were especially happy for her when we discovered that this included a trio singing group, too! Vickie and Harry surprised us by coming --Kit had shared the info when they came over, and they remembered :)

Cruiser Santa
The Peachey family invited us to experience Cruiser Santa with them. Santa came to their house on Monday night, with a gift for each of the girls. He kept remarking how much they have all grown and took his time talking to each of them.

A Charlie Brown Christmas
Winnie and Kit were dancers in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at church. It's amazing how much a children's play can come together in the end. The kids did a super job!

Holiday Recital
It was so fun to watch Kit and Winnie dance together in the Arts Castle's Holiday Recital. This was Winnie's first recital, and she did a great job! They danced to "Wonderful Christmastime." A group of supporters was on hand to watch: the Kaelbers (including Uncle Matt), the Parsells, and of course, Mom and Doc.

Christmas at the Palace
Seth and the girls enjoyed their first Marion Palace Theatre experience as we watched "Christmas at the Palace." The girls were delighted to see their friend Scarlett perform in the show.
