Kindergarten Meeting

Tonight Seth and I took Kit to the kindergarten meeting at Carlisle Elementary. We spent time in the kindergarten classrooms, library, and gym. Kit's friend Emma from preschool was there, too, and the girls hugged each other several times. To say that Kit was excited would be an understatement! She was still bubbling over when we left, and she just had to run home!

Make It Monday: Books

Today the girls made books using brown paper bags and pages from their new coloring books from Aunt Berchie. Winnie made a book for Santa, and Kit made a book about Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

The Newest Bible Carrier

Kit has been looking forward to the chance to serve as Bible carrier at church. Today was her first time carrying the good book at the start of the service. She was glowing!

Winnie's Tot Dance Class

Today Winnie finished up the winter session of tot dance at the Arts Castle. She likes all of the music, dancing with scarves, jumping on the trampoline, and getting her hand stamped at the end of class.

Kit is Learning to Read

With a little help, Kit can read "Lad and the Fat Cat" from the library. This book features a cat named Kit!

Winnie is 3 Feet Tall

Winnie has been checking her height at the ECC every time we take Kit to preschool. Today we found that she is 3 feet tall!

Kit's Eye Patch

Today the eye Dr. prescribed an eye patch for an hour a day to help strengthen Kit's left eye. Kit's helping me with this blog entry, and she says, "I like the eye patch, but it's itchy." We have a kid-friendly one on order!

Make It Monday: Shamrocks

Today the girls made shamrocks, and Winnie wrote her own "W."

Kit's Pre-Ballet Class

A very special thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Lovie for taking Kit to her pre-ballet class on Fridays during the winter session! Here Kit is pictured with Miss Karen at her final class on Friday.

Make It Monday: Toothy Grins

Since the girls had dental appointments today, we made toothy grins. They like going to the dentist because they receive goody bags and gold coins to spend before leaving the office. Both girls will carry around their treasures for days to come. Kit said, "This is my collection. I love collecting!"

Taking a Ride

On Saturday we headed to Kettering for Meg's birthday celebration. The kids got the chance to play outside! They also played superheroes and sounded out words.

Make It Monday: Olympic Bobsleds

Kit and Winnie like watching the Olympic games, so today's craft was in honor of the sports taking place in Sochi.

Sticky Hands & Washin'

Before Seth came, Kit asked, "Can Doc play with me all day?" They played a fair amount, especially with the sticky hand. Then the girls got down to business washing their toys.

Nothing But Love!

The girls enjoyed Valentine's Day with sweet cards and gifts in the mail from Gail and Aunt Berchie & Uncle Jim. They spent time with Grandma Lovie and Grandpa, who also brought Valentine's Day surprises.

Today Scarlett and Nicholas joined our craft time, and we made more hot chocolate.

Girls' Night

On Saturday, I enjoyed a night out with my future sisters-in-law, Meg and Kara. We had a great time at 1808 in Delaware. It was Seth's first time hanging with the girls on his own. When I told Kit that Doc would be watching them, she replied, "Um, mom, does Doc know how to take care of us?" When us ladies pulled back into the driveway, we could see the three in the window. Seth had a gift bag on his head, and the girls were dressed as princesses. So I would say, "Yes, Kit, Doc knows how to take care of you!"

Make It Monday: Paper Pizza

Today Winnie made a pizza. Kit decorated one of her journals but didn't want her picture taken.
