Last Day with Michele

Emerson surprised Michele with hydrangeas on his last day with her. We were all sad to say goodbye as Emerson transitions to Kiddie Academy to get a built-in preschool experience. He FaceTimed with Tessa (currently in Puerto Rico) to tell her goodbye, too. Ed and Michele told Seth that Emerson said he wanted them to watch his kids when he's a dad. <3 We're thankful he moves on feeling that way.

Emerson's First Playdate

Emerson was thrilled to have Ryland come over while Emma played with Winnie. Of all the fun things they did, eating marshmallows was their favorite activity.

 

Little Helper

 

Emerson was our helper at Oakland Nursery today. We chose some plants to add to the front of the house.

Zanesville Tournament

Kit did a great job during the Zanesville tournament. She had some good bumps and serves. It was the first time her coach put her in to serve for someone else!

 

Gymnastics Skills

 

Tonight Winnie climbed the rope quickly and worked on balance beam skills.

Emerson Goes to the Dentist

 

Emerson loved his first dental appointment at Delaware Pediatric Dentistry. He got to watch Home Alone while his teeth were cleaned. He took a goody bag home and was more cooperative with brushing and flossing than ever before.

Hide-and-Seek

 

It's great to be outside playing. Emerson enjoyed hide-and-seek at the park.

Dollar Tree Dinner

Winnie asked if she could make a "Dollar Tree dinner" so she can be ready for her first apartment. My work here is done :)

Flipper Class

 

Winnie started in a new class two weeks ago: Flippers! Parents aren't allowed in the COGC building, but we can watch using Zoom. Here are some screenshots of Winnie practicing a balance beam cartwheel.

Ice World

 

We took the kids and Sarah to see Ice World, a traveling ice sculpture exhibit. Winnie had the fun idea to play the Frozen soundtracks to add to our experience. Emerson got to high-five a penguin.

Celebrating Progress

 

Emerson is celebrating Big Grandpa being cigarette-free for 23 days! Keep it going!

Lithopolis Tournament

 

Today J23 played at Eastside Athletics near Canal Winchester. Proud of #49! Once her team was done with their bracket, she volunteered to ref at the end of a long day.

Snow Day

 

Snow day - more than we have had in years! It was up to Emerson's knees. We started to build an igloo in the backyard.

Indoors, the fun continued. Winnie set up a movie theater in her room.

Valentine's Day

We woke to sweet treats on Valentine's Day. The kids and I made some peanut-free blossoms. Matt, Molly, and Shadow came to visit and stayed for lunch. They brought Winnie a belated birthday gift.

J23 Places 2nd

 

Doc took Kit to her second tournament in Newark. He said she had some great bumps and was a super teammate. Her team took second place in the silver bracket!

Kit's First Volleyball Tournament

 

Kit's team, Mintonette J23, participated in their first volleyball tournament at the Elite Volleyball Center in Plain City. A big day for Kit! She had never played in an official volleyball game, let alone a tournament!
