Backpacking

Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Lovie, Seth and I had the chance to go backpacking at Zaleski. This was our first time leaving Emerson overnight. We were fortunate to have great weather.

Honoring Our Veterans

Kit honored Grandpa John P, Grandpa John K, Papa, Uncle Zech, Uncle Jim, and Cousin Joe during her 5th grade musical, America's White Table. Their photos, branches, and years of service were included in a slideshow that played throughout the musical. Kit was a featured singer during You're a Hero.

Trick-or-Treat

A frigid and windy trick-or-treat! Emerson went to 5-6 houses, and then we watched from the storm door. The girls were troopers! They walked with Mr. Brett for an hour & then around 20 minutes on their own.

Toy Story

Excuse the fuzzy photo, but I want this memory saved. Emerson watched his first movie tonight - Toy Story. As you can see, he was thoroughly enjoying it. The Woody doll from Grandma and Grandpa was perfect for the occasion.

Swaisgood's Halloween Party

We had fun at the Swaisgood's annual Halloween party. We went as cowboys/cowgirl, Death Ariana Grande, and the Spooky Cheerleader. It was a rainy night, but the kids had fun turning the cider press in the garage.

Seth, Emerson, and I stayed in a hotel so that all of the kids could take a dip in the pool. Kit and Winnie had fun spending the night.

Storytime

We've committed to taking Emerson to Monday night storytime so he has his own extracurricular activity to look forward to weekly. He loves it! And I love him <3

Hocking Valley Scenic Railway

Today the kids were treated to a surprise destination. Winnie came the closest by guessing we were going on a cruise. We rode a train at the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Nelsonville. Emerson must have smiled the entire trip. We all learned interesting things about the area's history.

Be a Star Workshop 2019

Kit and Winnie had a blast at the annual Be a Star Workshop held by the Olentangy show choirs. They were paired up with the beloved Emily, AKA Tibbs. Seth and I made it to their performance. Then they had a waffle challenge at Kroger in which I agreed to buy all of the waffles they could carry.
