Northern Lights Condominiums

The condo exceeds our expectations. It's spacious, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The back patio overlooks a natural area with deer, hummingbirds, and butterflies. The front patio is like a mini secret garden. 

Douglas/Saugatuck

The kids and Tego did great with our drive to Douglas. We settled into our condo and explored Saugatuck, stopping to eat at The Trap. Kit shared her lavender lemonade, and everyone received Tator Tats. We headed back, and the kids had fun in the pool.

Grandma Jo & Grandpa

We enjoyed a visit with Grandma Jo and Grandpa en route to Douglas, MI. Emerson enjoyed the cow footstool, and Tego liked Grandpa's socks. They kindly sent us off with goodies.

Groovy Plants Ranch

We enjoyed Groovy Plants Ranch in Marengo. The kids picked out plants and used the potting bar to get them all set. 

Muffin Man

Emerson pretended his used tissues were muffins baking in the "oven," but no one wanted any :)

Leash Training

A little peanut butter to coax Tego to walk in his leash...now to help him overcome his fear of trash cans, people, and other dogs. 

Animals Visit Kiddie Academy

Emerson loves that a variety of animals were at Kiddie Academy today! He was also quite interested in the trailer that brought them. 

Jump Gathering

We celebrated the Jump family summer birthdays at our house. Nash and Tego provided the entertainment with their non-stop play. They burned off more energy than the kids!

New Glasses

Getting new glasses is so much fun! I treated the girls to Starbucks after being fitted. 

A Boy & His Dog

They are becoming best buddies. 

Splash Park

Emerson and I went to the splash park in Delaware soon after it opened at 10. It was already hot! He and new friend Hunter played chase at the playground. 

10-Mile Run

I celebrated freedom with a 10-mile run the morning of the fourth. It's always great to be welcomed home by the family. 

Fireworks Fun

Kit's  Maddie came over, and the kids had fun with pop-its, sparklers, smoke bombs, and more. In the evening,the family hung out by a fire and enjoyed fireworks in our neighborhood. 

First Time Fishing

Grandpa took Emerson to Walmart to pick out a fishing pole - Paw Patrol, with me tagging along. Then we headed to the kid fishing pond at Delaware State Park. In less than a minute, on his first cast, Emerson caught a fish, a catfish. He also caught a bluegill and small bass. While he likes fishing, he did not want to touch any :)

First Friday

We joined the Lubbens for First Friday in downtown Delaware. It was our first time being in a crowd since COVID, and we had a blast...dinner at Son of Thurman's, a magic show, games for the kids, and antique fire truck play. 

Family Reunion

It was awesome seeing Amee and Erin this week. There were 23 of us together at El Campesino, and mom was even able to make it. She got out of the hospital on Wednesday and is settled in at Kingston again.  

Otterbein Volleyball Camp

Kit enjoyed her four days at Otterbein's volleyball camp. On the first day, she texted me, "I love this camp. I want to go every year." 

I was glad to be at the closeout and award ceremony. Kit received some helpful feedback from her coach. 

Crumbl Cookies

Crumbl Cookies in Delaware was a hit! Only Seth could finish his cookie. The rest of us ate until stuff and had leftovers. 

Summer Tumbling

Winnie is enjoying her summer session and day camps at Central Ohio Gymnastics Center.
