Halloween!

On Friday night, we carved the girls' gourds, Note to self: this is very difficult to do - stick to traditional pumpkins!

The girls could hardly wait for Trick-or-Treating to begin on Saturday night. Winnie was a bat, and Kit was a gypsy (for Kit, it was love at first sight of the purple 2-piece when we were thrifting for costumes). I took them on both sides of our street, stop sign to stop sign, and that was enough for them. Their buckets were filled! We spent the rest of the time hanging out around the Barger's fire. Doc was our official candy distributor.

Jump Gathering at Buck Creek State Park

Held a day later than planned due to weather, we had a great time at the Jump gathering at Buck Creek State Park in Springfield. What a perfect fall day! We ate, played, and held our own version of "Trunk-or-Treat."

Kit's Combo Class

Winnie and I got to peak in on the last few minutes of Kit's combo class, which was held at Grady Hospital because of an event taking place at the Arts Castle.

Half-Bathroom: Before and After

I forgot to post these last month! We had the half-bath spruced up with some help from a handyman. I took care of all of the painting (vanity, walls, and ceiling). The flooring was leftover from the full-bath remodel from a couple of years ago. Such an improvement, don't you think?

On Wednesday, Seth and I had a date after work. Before seeing Bronze Radio Return at the Rumba Cafe, we ate at North Star & spent time at Whetstone Park of Roses.

Columbus Half Marathon

I was so happy to reach a long-term goal of running in the Columbus Half Marathon. The morning was chilly (35-40 degrees). and the race was packed. It was so cool seeing Children's Hospital Champions at every mile. There were funny signs along the way that said things like, "Running is a mental sport - you're all crazy!" and "Your feet hurt because you're kicking butt!"

I ran it in 2 hours, 1 minute, 29 seconds (pace of 9:17). I had hoped to do it under 2 hours, but I am thrilled nonetheless. I finished in the top 21% for women running the half (1486 out of 6590 women). Special thanks for all of the love and support!

Sing-a-Long and S'mores

On Thursday, all of the Girl Scouts in Delaware City gathered at Greenwood Lake to sing and have s'mores. I was proud of our troop's confidence when they sang, especially given that they were the first group up to sing (they shared "Alice the Camel").

Weekend Fun

This is what a fun & relaxing weekend looks like: blanket rides from Doc, selfies, dance classes, and a visit from Matt (he didn't want to take any pictures, but I wanted to send Zech some silliness).

Riding Sierra

We enjoyed the Betti's gathering on Saturday. Kit and Winnie were so excited to ride Jenna's pony Sierra. Krista gave the girls some pointers and took them around the barn since it was raining.
