Holiday Dance & Music Concert

Kit and her dance partner Caitlin performed a tap number to "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" at the Arts Castle's Holiday Dance & Music Concert at Willis Intermediate School Auditorium. I was proud that Kit was brave and waited in the cafeteria with the older children, walked onto a dark stage, and performed her dance with precision.

The Head and the Heart

Seth and I got away for the evening to watch The Head and the Heart at the LC Pavilion. Modern folk rock at its best!

ECC Holiday Celebration

On Thursday, Mrs. Warnock's class hosted a special holiday celebration. The talented 3-year-olds performed "Jingle Bells," shared cookies they had baked, gave ornaments, and danced to three silly songs.

Visit with Santa

After the girls prepared their letters, we headed to Oakland Nursery to deliver the items and talk with Santa. Kit was bold in her interactions, and Winnie was reserved. We had fun until we spotted the Grinch, and then it was time to go!

Trimming the Tree

We're all decorated for Christmas!

The girls could hardly wait to put up the tree. They were both delighted to open a new Barbie ornament. Thanks to Aunt Berchie, Seth and I had a new one to add, too.

Here are the girls' gratitude lists this Thanksgiving ;-)

Kit: "Mom, Stepdad, Dad, Sister, Grandma and Grandpa (both), Aunt, Uncle, Family, Cousins, Neighbors, the Park, and Air.

Delaware's Christmas Parade

On Sunday, our troop participated in Delaware's Superhero Christmas Parade. Kit and Winnie had a blast throwing candy to the crowd. Fortunately, the troops were toward the beginning of the parade. When we finished our walk, we were able to watch the rest of participants, including Santa and "Claus," as Winnie calls her (Mrs. Claus).

The girls had fun picking out fabric at Hobby Lobby on Monday. Then Aunt Berchie treated us to lunch at Hunan (thank you for the delicious tofu and gifts!). When we got home, we made Barbie beds, pillows, and blankets from cereal boxes, cotton balls, and the fabric.
