Halloween

Our Halloween fun began with dressing up for dentist appointments. It was all treats and no tricks with no cavities! In the evening, we trick-or-treated with frends Rylan, Camdyn, and Sarah. Doc passed out candy to about 100 kids.

Trunk-or-Treat day at Peace! It had to be inside this year because of rain.

Spiders with the Dutts

Vickie and Harry came over to watch the game with us and brought along a fun spider craft for the girls.

Girl Scouts S'mores and Sing-a-Long

A portion of our troop participated in the city-wide Girl Scouts S'mores and Sing-a-Long at Greenwood Lake Camp.

On Sunday, John took us out boating for the final time of the season.

Swaisgood's Halloween Party

We had a fun time at the Swaisgood's Halloween party in Bowling Green. Seth and I were a workout couple from the '80s. With those shorty shorts, he won best adult costume. Kit was a genie, and Winnie was a witch.

Gifts from the Tooth Fairy

The tooth fairy came again for one of Kit's teeth. Surprisingly, Winnie found some change and attributed it to brushing well.

Make It Monday: BF Necklaces

I am delighted when the girls come up with their own crafts. On Sunday morning, they created these "Best Friend Necklaces" that include the letters K & W as well as dog tags from VBS. They have vowed to always wear these except when sleeping or showering so that the other will be reminded "we are always together."

Birthday & Wedding

On Saturday, we celebrated Doc's birthday at lunch before heading to Bellville for Josh and Leah's wedding at the lovely Deer Ridge Golf Club. We all had a fun time, and guests even sang to Seth. Blessings to the happy couple!

Bridging Ceremony

The girls "bridged" to their new levels in Girl Scouts. Winnie is an official Daisy, and Kit is now a Brownie. What a beautiful morning to spend at Gallant Woods Preserve! The girls loved the nature scavenger hunt.

Crazy Hair Day

The girls participated in crazy hair day at school to support an organization that helps homeless individuals.

Combo Jazz/Hip Hop Class

This year the girls are dancing together in a combination jazz/hip hop class. At the first dance observation night, it was apparent that Winnie is doing just fine with the older girls. This is her first academy-level class, and she and Kit are enjoying doing it together.

Camping with the Jumps

We had lots of fun with the Jumps at the Cross Creek Camping Resort on Saturday and Sunday. The children learned to play ga ga ball, and Kit and Winnie cut out a sewing pattern with Grandma Teri. They also got a hair tutorial from Aunt Kara!

Friday Surprises

On Friday, I received two surprises. First, I received the Director's Gold Coin of Excellence from Harvey and Linda at our leadership retreat. Then, I came home (late) to a house full of girls - 8 in total. Doc said they just kept showing up!

Sunday Fun

We had lots of outdoor fun on Sunday. Along with the neighbors, we went to Westerville's Cops & Kids Day. Then, we headed home to host "Winnie's Pretend Birthday Party" that Kit had been working on since Thursday. Our evening was spent on the water at Alum Creek with Grandpa and Grandma Lovie.
