Preparing for Race Day

I've been doing long runs on Sunday mornings to prepare myself for the half Columbus Marathon. The bottom photo was from a run a couple of weeks ago. The top photo is from today's run: 11 miles, 1:38:03, a pace of 8:54 per mile. I'm on track to reach my goal of running half in under 2 hours.

Make It Saturday: Painted Pots

The girls have requested we bring back "Make It Monday" on Saturdays. Here they are painting pots for their succulents.

The girls had their last swim lesson for now. Winnie is just one skill away from advancing to Glider 3. Kit made it to Pro!

Erin came to play with Kit, and Emma came to spend time with Winnie (and Emerson). Slime fail! Our little guy is holding his favorite items to grab from the fridge.

Haircuts & Donation

All 3 kids had their hair cut on Saturday, and Kit got enough cut to donate to Locks of Love.

Winnie's Lost Her First Tooth

Winnie finally lost her first tooth this week! Also, she began piano lessons with Ms. Alexandra earlier this month.

Kit has taken over the hall closet! She and Rylan gave Emerson a lesson in coloring.

15 Months Old!

Emerson is 15 months old today! He throws a fast ball, loves blueberries, likes to play in the basement, often rearranges our shoes, and is expressive with his emerging language.

Today we caught up with Jack, Pat, and Jeff. The girls were excited to share that they got their ears pierced. Ms. Pat shared that she wished she had done that.

August Birthday Celebration

We celebrated August birthdays (Matt's, Grandma's, and Zech's) at the Crack Barrel in Grove City. Emerson tried ice cream for the first time. Despite the serious face, he liked it!
