Stay at Home Activities

We're filling our time at home with Disney Plus, board games, lots of outside play, crafts, and phones/devices (especially for keeping in touch with others).

Today we tried out Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine's microwave brownie recipe - pretty good!

Home School Begins

We're all up and running safely from home during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and Stay at Home Ohio order. Home school is a new adventure for us!

Arts Castle Gala

Kit danced beautifully during the Arts Castle's Gala and award presentation. She had her fan club on hand to wish her well. It was extra-special that Grandpa John P. could be there.

County Fair Carnival

I chaired the carnival committee for a second year in a row, and now I'm ready to retire :) The day was a success with lots of smiling faces, families having fun, and significant funds raised for the school.

Wedding & Rings

Kit hosted Gianna, and they had so much fun playing wedding. Winnie had Penny over, and their favorite activity was swinging from the rings. Emerson played with everyone!

Weekend Happenings

Winnie and Doc assembled Winnie's new desk. Grandma and Grandpa stopped over, and we went to the playground.

Playing Storytime

The girls put on a storytime for Emerson, including a train craft.

Cheer Camp

Kit and Winnie got to participate in Olentangy's Cheer Camp with Rylan and Camdyn.

Bathroom Shenanigans

Doc-Kit-Winnie Dance

Doc, Kit, and Winnie enjoyed Berlin High School's Daddy-Daughter Dance. John and Sarah were there, too. The girls' favorite was the dads dance-off. We hosted the Lubbens for dinner after the event.

Valentine Fun at Cosi

Seth had little treats and cards waiting for us Valentine's Day morning. We went to Cosi and enjoyed lunch at Melt.

Monday Night Storytime

Emerson loves storytime, Ms. Bridget, and the other regulars.

Arrowhead Talent Show

The girls performed in this year's school talent show. They were welcomed by the Berlin High School cheerleaders. Kit and Rylan performed a dance they choreographed. Winnie and Camdyn also choreographed their own dance that was set to an original song they wrote and recorded.

Kit's Band Concert

Kit played trombone along with 5th graders from several elementary schools and the 6th grade Shanahan Middle School band.

Winnie Turns 9

Happy 9th birthday, you sweet, smart, and funny girl!

Scavenger Hunt

Kit & I put out clues for Winnie to follow to her digital art tablet. Happy 9th birthday, Winnie!

Winnie's 9th Super Panda Birthday

Winnie celebrated her 9th birthday with a super panda-themed birthday party with 3 of her friends, and 2 slept over. They decorated mailboxes and capes, sang karaoke, made videos, and painted faces.

Communication Disability Law

My past and present came together as we raised awareness of the Communication Disability Law. I'm pictured with Tom Stickrath, Director of Public Safety and Kevin Miller, Director of Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.
